Lila and the Rainbow Fish

Lila loved splashing in the little pond behind her house. One day, a fish with rainbow scales popped up and blew a bubble hello! 'Come play,' said the fish. Lila laughed and dipped her toes in. The rainbow fish showed her sparkling stones and tiny water flowers. When it was time to go, the fish gave Lila a smooth pebble that shimmered like a sunset. 'A gift for a kind friend,' bubbled the fish. Lila still keeps it in her pocket, and every time she touches it, she thinks of her magical, splishy-splashy friend.
